Missing for Almost a Month : Father and Son Vanish Without a Trace from Goodyear City Arizona

Father and Son, Missing for Nearly a Month, Last Spotted in Goodyear
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has launched an urgent plea to the public for assistance in locating a father and his adult son who disappeared almost a month ago. Chad Stuart Holvig, aged 51, along with his 25-year-old son, Dalton Holvig, were officially reported missing in the early to middle part of July. The trail went cold after Chad left his residence in Tonopah on July 4 to pay a visit to his son Dalton in Goodyear, a move confirmed by his family. Since July 6, Chad has remained out of touch with his family in Tonopah—a perplexing departure from his usual communication habits. The situation is even more baffling given that he abandoned his dogs and personal belongings.

The last sighting of Chad revealed him wearing blue jeans, sturdy brown steel hiking boots, a navy blue short-sleeved T-shirt adorned with a yellow logo on the front, a black baseball cap, and a black backpack. His mode of transportation was a 1999 black Dodge Durango.

Dalton’s most recent sighting dates back to July 10, near the intersection of Citrus Road and Roosevelt Street in Goodyear. Concerningly, family members noted that he was nursing a leg injury at the time.

He was also scheduled to meet his friend Amanda for a fireworks display near the Turner North pit in the desert west of the White Tank Mountains in Buckeye, AZ. On 7/7/2023, he purportedly left Goodyear, AZ, near the intersection of Citrus Rd and Latham St, with intentions to purchase a transmission in or around Apache Junction, AZ. This initial plan fell through, leading him to pursue an alternative transmission in Marana, AZ on the morning of 7/8/23. Regrettably, he never returned from this mission and has remained absent from all contact since then. Though unverified, rumors of potential foul play have been circulating.
